The restaurant options on this island came as a surprise to us. While we had read about the iconic Coral Sands and Dunmore and seen images numerous times, we were impressed with just how much charm can be found in each and every place. We had incredible fresh sushi at Da Vine, a stunning night at The Landing eating outside on the covered porch, and always the greatest rum punch at The Dunmore in their sitting room before heading in for dinner. One of our favorite local spots on the island, Queen Conch, kept us coming back lunch after lunch for a wonderfully unique experience.

Harbour Island is a charming and serene paradise that feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of more tourist-heavy destinations you'll find in the Bahamas and the Caribbean. It’s a small island with a big personality, offering a blend of natural beauty, bohemian style luxury airing on the haute bohemian feel, history, and a laid-back atmosphere. Its weathered charm will not be obvious at first glance but the longer you stay you'll find it everywhere you turn.
While swimming in Harbour Island's crystal clear waters will make it hard for you to leave the beach, there are several noteworthy shops and places to see. From India Hick's beautifully curated Sugar Mill shop with homewares and clothing to the Blue Rooster, there is a lot of local crafted items to see and discover.
